1st The jellybean tree
This is a very simple game for
first cycle students in which they have to count the different coloured
jellybeans and drag them into their column. When they finish they can see how
many beans of each colour there are through a bar graphic. Afterwards, they
have to read the graph and answer to some questions regarding the information
on the graphic.
2nd Bar charts
In this game there are several levels in which the type of
question and the scale varyies or not. It is an interesting game in which there
are graphic charts containing different data and some questions related to it.
This activity can be used with low levels and progressing with it until higer
levels.
3rd Interprete data
This is a very complete activity in which students have to
analyze and interpret data, and then putting it into different types of charts
to visualize the same information but through different means. This task can be
done in the third cycle.
I would like to finish with a
very interesting webpage in which there are more activities to deal with statistics divided into different ages.
Have fun and play!
